Water management, native pine plantations and an environmental assessment system for wild food harvesting are among 32 projects to receive New Zealand government grants for Māori science and innovation.
Science minister Paul Goldsmith and Māori development minister Te Ururoa Flavell announced funding worth $3.9 million for the successful proposals on 12 June in Wellington.
The grants are the fifth round of the Vision Mātauranga Capability Fund, which was launched in 2013 by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
