NZ creative design to go on show in Paris

An electric skateboard, concert loudspeakers that can be electronically repositioned and virtual reality storybooks for children are among designs by New Zealand start-ups to be featured at two technology exhibitions in Paris.

The French embassy in Wellington is sponsoring a group of 11 start-ups and NZ entrepreneurs to attend the Futur-en-Seine digital festival and VivaTech, a global workshop for technology innovators. Both events will take place in June.

The group includes four design students from Auckland University of Technology, a design research group from Massey University, digital collective Enspiral and software-based solar energy services company Greenstage Power.
