Higher education vital in reducing social inequality

University education not only improves job prospects for Māori and Pacific Island graduates, but has a positive impact on their families and communities, according to University of Otago research.

The National Centre for Lifecourse Research at Otago found that Māori and Pacific Island graduates had similar rates of employment, incomes, and political engagement to other NZ graduates.
