Arts graduates ‘perfectly placed’ to be future innovators

Critical thinking and communication skills will make a Bachelor of Arts “one of the most valued degrees” in future decades, according to a leading New Zealand academic.

Stuart Brock says humanities graduates will most likely “control the economy in the years ahead” because their creative abilities will enable them to generate new jobs and services.

Brock is associate dean of humanities and social sciences at Victoria University of Wellington and also teaches philosophy.
