Mathematics and natural sciences, such as biology and chemistry, are dominating enrolments in science, engineering and technology at New Zealand universities, according to a global education report.
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development estimates that 10 per cent of NZ tertiary students were enrolled in these subjects in 2015, which is 4 per cent above the OECD average.
It compares to 8 per cent for engineering and 7 per cent for digital technology courses.
