Research and climate on Ardern’s list of priorities

New Zealand’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern has detailed 12 policy priorities that will guide her coalition government’s future direction.

The list includes expanding investment in research through an R&D tax incentive for businesses, supporting renewable energy technologies and creating a “net zero carbon economy” by 2050.

Ardern outlined the government’s priorities in a speech at Auckland University of Technology on 16 September.
