Network could make ocean data more accessible to researchers

National agency aims to improve sharing of ocean observations

New Zealand’s national environmental science agency wants to create an ocean observation network to collect and share data on climate change impacts in the country’s coastal waters.

The network will link data from ocean monitoring buoys operated by science institutes, regional councils and NZ port authorities.
