Government grants to support Pacific culture and languages

Four-year programme to offer grants up to $5,000 for workshops, websites and events

New Zealand’s government has launched a $20 million grants programme to increase the growth and national recognition of Pacific languages.

It will also set up a dedicated Pacific Language Unit within the Ministry for Pacific Peoples to support national language weeks and other cultural activities across NZ.
