Government signs off on $80m for Lincoln research facilities rebuild

Minister also announces oversight group to track progress of how funds are spent

 New Zealand’s government has approved $80 million to help rebuild agricultural research facilities at Lincoln University that were damaged eight years ago by the Canterbury earthquakes.

Education minister Chris Hipkins announced the funding on 23 November but indicated the government will keep a close watch on the project.
