Business services lead 24% rise in NZ research funding

New Zealand companies have increased their research funding by $548 million over the past two years and are now spending $2.1 billion on R&D, a government survey has found.

The Statistics NZ report, published every two years, says total spending on R&D across the country has increased by 24 per cent since 2016 and is now worth $3.9bn.
