NZ workplaces ‘lagging behind’ on cyber abuse support

Many organisations in New Zealand are struggling to deal with workplace cyber abuse and are failing to provide adequate support for those being targeted, a report by Massey University has said.

It analysed case studies and data from 205 victims of cyber abuse to assess barriers to reporting and resolving these attacks.

The study found almost 50 per cent of participants experienced multiple form of cyber abuse, ranging across sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying and stalking.
