Latest Rutherford Discovery Fellowships support astronomy, social sciences and earth sciences

New Zealand’s 2020 Rutherford Discovery Fellowships have been awarded, boosting research on solar system formation, disaster resilience and transgender health.

Ten fellowships, worth NZ$800,000 each, were awarded to early-career and mid-career researchers. The fellowships, administered by the Royal Society, are awarded annually and run for five years. This year, all the fellows come from public universities.
