Industry to promote skills as part of NZ education reforms

 

Government-funded events will champion vocational education and industry-specific higher education courses

New Zealand’s government is to fund around 600 events to promote vocational tertiary education and research opportunities to secondary students in areas including architecture, engineering and creative industries.

The move follows concerns raised by several NZ business reports about skills shortages and a lack of trained researchers.
