Better understanding of how Antarctica influences the global climate system needed “now more than ever”

Climate issues and environmental protection will be the focus of New Zealand’s Antarctic research programme over the next 10 years.

The 2021-30 research directions and priorities for the country’s work in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean were finalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in December.
