New Zealand science initiatives publish national guidance on working with Māori custodians
A coalition of New Zealand’s National Science Challenges has published a guide for researchers on working with Māori knowledge and the native New Zealand environment.
The guide, created in response to the Wai 262 claim to the Waitangi Tribunal, was published alongside a national report on Māori experience. It came after the claim’s guiding body received government funding in the May budget to further its work.
