Space and aerospace policy documents emphasising research and partnerships are open for comment
Funding of NZ$9 million for research partnerships with the US space agency Nasa and an additional NZ$3m for other research projects are the centrepieces of New Zealand’s proposed aerospace strategy.
The government will also provide NZ$3.7m to the Civil Aviation Authority for an Emerging Technologies Programme. As well as the aerospace strategy, which is open for comment, the government has launched a review of its space policy.
