National Party says it wants to rethink NZ$450 million project

A cloud continues to hang over the proposed Wellington Science City as the opposition National Party says it believes the idea needs reviewing.

At a pre-election forum run by the New Zealand Association of Scientists on 5 September, National Party candidate Frances Hughes said that if it won the election on 14 October, the party wanted to ensure that spending on science facilities had “clear outcomes”.
