Editorial in New Zealand Medical Journal launches broadside at government policy

Researchers and medical professionals in New Zealand should be deeply concerned about changes being made by the new government, an editorial in the New Zealand Medical Journal has said.

The editorial, published on 2 February, says the coalition government’s “100-day plan” threatens equity in New Zealand. Its authors include University of Otago dean Suzanne Pitama and Otago health lecturer Tracy Haitana.
