Deputy prime ministers herald new “seamless” era of cooperation

Moves to create a “seamless” military alliance with Australia could mean better access to overseas research and technology for New Zealand.

During talks on 1 February in Melbourne, Australia, ministers discussed the possibility of New Zealand joining Aukus, an Australia-UK-US military partnership, in a limited form.
