Report outlines large increases in services and primary industry
Research and development spending by businesses in New Zealand jumped dramatically in 2023, increasing by 17 per cent to NZ$3.7 billion.
The increase on 2022—the greatest since annual data were first collected in 2018—was revealed in Statistics New Zealand’s annual business R&D report on 26 April.
