Union slams job losses at Callaghan Innovation and National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research

The loss of up to 90 jobs at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research is “utter madness”, the Public Service Association has said.

The cuts were announced on 9 April by NIWA chief executive John Morgan, who said they were necessary for “financial stability”.
