Government’s policies are ill-considered and “too commercial”, NZAS says

The guidance from a newly convened advisory group to the New Zealand government will not help to avert a looming funding crisis, a peak scientists’ group has warned.

The New Zealand Association of Scientists (NZAS) said in a 3 May statement that it was already known that action was needed, and that critical science capabilities were heading towards “fiscal cliffs”.
