BIS to have chief scientist by Christmas

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills should have a chief scientific adviser by Christmas, science minister David Willetts has told the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee. BIS will have a deputy CSA for the first time, he said, but its CSA will be part time, partly to let the appointee keep up-to-date with developments outside Whitehall.
