The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has decided to delay the next round of decisions on the future scope of its funding following a plea by six of the UK’s learned societies.
EPSRC chief executive David Delpy had previously told Research Fortnight that the council would hold a second round of announcements in October to reveal which disciplines would receive funding cuts and which would get increases in the future.
