Scotland expands innovation voucher scheme
The Scottish Funding Council will expand its innovation voucher scheme after a successful first three years, it announced on 26 October. The scheme gives grants of up to £5,000 to universities working with small and medium-sized businesses on developing products or services: the firms will match the grants in cash or in kind. The SFC has invested £1 million in the scheme, supporting more than 200 projects, but the council plans to double this over the next three years.
