Four research councils are set to roll out a new way of recording the outputs of research grants, amid concern that the system remains relatively untested.
The Research Outcomes System, an extension of the system already used by the Economic and Social Research Council, is designed to keep track of the outcomes of RCUK-sponsored research, ranging from papers and patents to staff development and podcasts.
