Human rights groups condemn protest ban at Birmingham University

Several UK human rights groups have condemned the University of Birmingham for banning occupation protests on its campus for one year, reported the Guardian newspaper on 11 December.

The university has obtained a high-court injunction that prevents “persons unknown” from staging sit-in protests on the campus for 12 months without written permission from the university.
