Turner resigns from climate committee

Adair Turner is to step down as chairman of the government’s main advisory body on global warming, the Committee on Climate Change, in spring 2012.

A former director general of the Confederation of British Industry, Turner has chaired the committee since it was established in 2008. He has resigned to concentrate on his role as chairman of the Financial Service Authority.
