Knowledge economy key for future economic growth

To secure economic growth and avoid another financial crisis, the UK government must invest in the knowledge economy, driven by highly skilled workers and new ideas, says a report by the Work Foundation.

The report, “A plan for growth in the knowledge economy”, was published on 29 June. It sets out a 2020 vision based on a two-year research programme on how to create value from knowledge instead of physical assets and manual labour.
