The Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs invites full proposals for a call on restoration of blanket bog vegetation for biodiversity, carbon sequestration and water regulation.
A five year project is proposed to explore the options for reducing heather vigour to raise the water table and encouraging vegetation characteristic of active blanket bog. The impact of these options on selected ecosystem services should be assessed.
