University of Surrey researchers and engineers at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd have launched a facebook competition for members of the public to develop apps that will run on a smartphone-powered satellite.
The four-kilogram nanosatellite, Surrey Training, Research and Nanosatellite Demonstrator, has been built in a bid to explore opportunities for lower-cost space missions.
