British Geological Survey publishes ‘risk list’ of rare chemicals

The British Geological Survey has produced a list of the relative risks to the supply of rare chemicals, such as metals.

The economically important metals at the highest risk of supply disruption, it says, include rare earths, platinum-group metals, niobium and tungsten. The supply of antimony and mercury are also at risk.
