Sports medicine centre planned as games legacy

A £30-million National Sports and Exercise Medicine Centre of Excellence is to be set up as an Olympic legacy, with hubs in London, Sheffield and Loughborough. The centre will focus on keeping people active and injuries and conditions associated with exercise—or lack of it. Funding for the project will come as part of the government’s Olympic commitments.
