BBSRC: zoonoses and emerging livestock systems – reducing the risk to livestock and people

The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research council, together with the Department for International Development, Economic and Social Sciences Research Council, Medical Research Council and Natural Environment Research Council, invites proposals for its call on zoonoses and emerging livestock systems: reducing the risk to livestock and people.

The focus of the ZELS programme is to make a step change in the research evidence on how to minimise the health risks associated with the rapidly changing nature of livestock systems in developing countries, focusing on those risks that impact on the livelihoods and health of poor people. There are two components to this call for proposals: topic-specific project grants and research partnership grants.
