Cambridge issues first ever bond

The University of Cambridge is issuing its first ever bond to raise £350 million, the Guardian reports.

The 40-year security bond will yield about 0.6 per cent more than a British government 40-year gilt, which the Guardian says suggests an effective interest rate of 3.85 per cent over the loan’s lifetime.
