Consultation on polar science ‘misinterpreted’

Ed Hill, director of the National Oceanography Centre and interim director of the British Antarctic Survey, says a consultation document on the proposed merger of the two centres has been unfairly described as a “sham”.

Hill told Research Fortnight he thinks the Natural Environment Research Council, which runs both centres, has been open about the process, but the merger has been “misinterpreted as a done deal” [see related article].
