A registry to identify researchers with a unique personal identifier has been launched by the not-for-profit body Open Researcher and Contributor ID.
The organisation’s board includes representatives from the Nature publishing group, Elsevier and the UK’s richest biomedical research charity, the Wellcome Trust.
