EPSRC: future manufacturing with mathematical sciences

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites proposals for its future manufacturing with mathematical sciences call.

This aims to generate new thinking and ideas, new interactions and new research at the interface of the mathematical sciences and manufacturing. Funding is available for cross-disciplinary research and new activities that promote interactions to help new mathematical sciences to transform future manufacturing. To be in scope for this call, the mathematical sciences research techniques must be novel and help to advance manufacturing challenges for the future. EPSRC expects to fund between four and eight large grants together with a number of smaller grants. Funding will be available for projects of up to five years focused on a particular manufacturing research challenge where there are clear pathways to impact, as well as smaller activities such as feasibility studies and cross-disciplinary bridging activities. Around £4 million is available in total.
