The Natural Environment Research Council, in collaboration with the Met Office and the Environment Agency, invites outline bids for its flooding from intense rainfall: work packages 1 and 2 grants.
These grants are for research projects that focus on reducing the risks of damage and loss of life by surface water and flash floods through improved identification, characterisation and prediction of interacting meteorological, hydrological and hydromorphological processes that contribute to flooding associated with high intensity rainfall events. Funding of up to £900,000 is available for work package 1 and up to £2.7 million for work package 2.
