Defra: social science perspective on EU attitudes to risk- and hazard-based approaches in chemicals management

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs invites expressions of interest for a social science perspective on EU attitudes to risk- and hazard-based approaches in chemicals management, with reference to endocrine disruption and nanomaterials.

A social scientist’s perspective on the risk versus hazard debate surrounding chemicals management is required in order to help the UK better understand what is driving attitudes and policy positions in France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.
