Animal research lobby goes for comms expertise

The lobby group Understanding Animal Research has appointed corporate communications specialist Wendy Jarrett as chief executive.

Jarrett, who will start on 19 November, has worked as the associate director for external communications at the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, where she deployed what UAR calls “a pro-active media relations strategy”. Prior to that, she generated media coverage in support of animal research for the Coalition for Medical Progress and UAR.
