Civil Aviation Authority: the chemical evaluation of fire fighting foam

The Civil Aviation Authority invites applications to tender for the chemical evaluation of fire fighting foam.

The authority intends to establish a contract to evaluate both the fire fighting performance and environmental impact of fire fighting foam. In particular, the successful contractor shall assess the declared constituents of the finished foam and rate them using provided guidelines. The contractor must also have the ability to test for fluorine compounds in test samples. The contract will begin on 1 July 2013 and end on 30 June 2017.
