ESRC/DFID: development frontiers research fund

The Economic and Social Research Council and the Department for International Development invite proposals for their development frontiers research fund.

This supports ideas, discoveries or tools that radically change understanding of important existing development concepts or practices, or that lead to completely new thinking on poverty and poverty reduction. The call will fund high-risk and high-reward scientific research that is likely to have a radical impact on policy and practice. Applications are sought from across the social sciences. Multi- or interdisciplinary projects are strongly encouraged, as are projects with developing-country leads and developing-country partners.
