How researchers can become chartered engineers

A draft set of guidelines to help engineering and technology researchers become Chartered Engineers have been published by the research careers organisation Vitae and the Engineering Council, the UK regulatory body for engineering professionals.

What is called the ‘engineering lens’ was developed to identify areas of similarity between Vitae’s Researcher Development Framework and the Engineering Council’s UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence.
