Particle physics articles to go open access from 2014

A consortium of particle physicists has brokered an open access agreement with 12 journals, reports Nature.

While particle physics has the most papers posted on the preprint server arXiv, publishers and research consortia have had to “strike piecemeal deals to free up a few hundred articles” says the Nature report.
