Roche chief moves to AstraZeneca
Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has appointed Pascal Soriot, from rival firm Roche, as its chief executive, it was announced on 28 August. Soriot, the chief operating officer of Roche’s pharmaceutical division, was previously CEO of Genentech, and is credited with playing a major role in its merger with Roche.
