If you’re after a humorous look at engineering, writers and performers Timandra Harkness and Matt Parker are running their Edinburgh Fringe Festival show for one night only on 27 September at The Phoenix in London.

Humans V Nature: Engineering FTW runs as a series of themes, Harkness said. “We start with the obstacle and look at how engineering has helped us to overcome it. For example, gravity. For thousands of years people tried to find ways to fly like birds. Then we tried filling a bag with a gas that seemed to float and voilà—the hot air balloon was born,” she said.
