‘Citizen science’ wildlife project produces new findings

Organisers of a citizen science project involving researchers working with some 500,000 members of the public say they have gathered new data about wildlife in England.

The interim findings of the five-year Open Air Laboratories project on the environment have been published, based on data gathered from more than 25,000 sites across England. Several universities are partners in the projects, as are the Met Office and the Natural History Museum.
