Global health funders unite for diabetes call
A group of international health research funders including the Medical Research Council is to launch a call on type 2 diabetes in the next six months. The amount of funding has not yet been announced. The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases brings together public funders from Australia, Canada, South Africa, the UK and the US. Its first call was worth more than £14 million and focused on hypertension.
