Nobel Laureate seeks to save Royal Institution building

Harry Kroto, Nobel Laureate in chemistry, has launched a campaign to prevent the possible sale of the Royal Institution’s building on Albermarle Street in London’s west end.

This follows the confirmation from RI chairman Richard Sykes on 18 January that the institution is considering “sub-letting or disposing of some or all of its Albermarle Street property” because of financial difficulties.
